That God didn’t give us 10 suggestions, He gave us 10 commandments?

That many errors in life result from an inability to sit still long enough to read what God has written?

That Jesus is our eraser for sin. Sin does not take responsibility for its consequences?

That our tongue is the tattletale of our heart and that loneliness is being disconnected from people

You probably know or are aware of all the above, but do not act or respond to these truths. Why? There could be several answers….1. Don’t want to…2. Can’t comprehend …3. Never gave it much thought 4….Others ? ? ? ?

We are given some truths in Scripture that tell us what we can know. Job said: “I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth”. Job.19:25

Paul said: “We know that all things work together for good, to them that love God… .Rom.8:28

Paul to Timothy….for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. II Tim.1:12b

Sometimes we may feel that God is far away when we are in the midst of a special problem, trial or testing, We may have doubts about him really being there and able to keep his promises. When we look to the sky in the daytime, we don’t see the stars, but we don’t doubt that they are there. Why should we ever feel less sure of our loving Mighty God.

Let’s ask God with the Psalmist, 119:33,34 “Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I will keep it unto the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I will observe it with my whole heart.”
