DO I QUALIFY ? |
||
|
Remember the days when time seemed to be racing by? You were in a spot where you needed to find employment to supply the demands of life! When you applied for a position, you were given a Job Description to see if you would qualify. Would you be able to fulfill the demands? O. K. accepted. Now to work. First day. You learn to take instructions
from your Boss. He/she tells you what is expected. Your Job Description
is fully explained to the point that you understand. Then they assume
that you follow instructions and perform accordingly. Your Supervisor
is helpful and willing to guide you through any difficult areas. Will being GOOD qualify us for heaven? If so, how good is good enough? Do we have a job description for the measure of how good we must be? How many good things will compensate for the number of bad things we’ve done? Since heaven is God’s home, wouldn’t you think He would have something to say about the Qualification test? Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you.” Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people. God has already made provision for our entrance there, through the death of His Son on Calvary. His Word sets forth the requirements for living here, in preparation for living there. Sounds like an important place to be sure that I qualify, doesn’t it?
