Keep thy HEART with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. Prov. 4:23 February is the month of Valentines, Hearts and Love. We all enjoy giving and receiving on February 14th. Have you ever thought that if there were no hearts there would be no love? Love is an expenditure of the heart. As a man thinketh in his HEART, so is he. The heart is like the core of a person our innermost thoughts, motives and intents are born there. Our love for others, or lack of it, originates in our heart. If we don’t have a full understanding of what true love is, it is clearly defined in I Cor.13. In the first 4 verses it tells us what love is not, and the verses following, tell what it is. LOVE IS: patient...kind...does not envy or boast...is not proud...rude...or self seeking. It is not easily angered, nor does it delight in evil...and more. If this seems a little heavy for us to follow, it might help us to remember that we love, only because God loved us first. It is only as we love Him that we can truly love others. I John 4:19. "We love him because he first loved us." 4:11. "If God so loved us, we ought also to love one another." To love helps our attitudes Our attitudes help us to adjust Adjusting helps to make us happy. Our human heart longs for someone who can guarantee us, "I will never fail you, I will never forsake you." That is exactly what God promises in his Word. Hebrews 13:5 God loves us for Who we are, not for What we are. As a rose expends its fragrance to all who come
