Broad vs Narrow Road

We are the people of God's creation In His image we were made, But man had a different idea In his own way, his course he laid.

I like the broad road, he had reasoned, I want to be free in the way I go, So he roamed the country far and wide, Forsaking God, to his wayward goal.

But he found that he was destitute, Far from God and faithful friends, Perhaps I should go back he reckoned, And follow God's path out to the end.

Yes, our forgiving Heavenly Father, Who in love and mercy abounds, With open arms did welcome him, And in Jesus, new life he found.

"In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths."

Prov. 3:6.
