THANK YOU LORD FOR EASTER

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid,
for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was
crucified. He is not here; for he is risen, as he said.
Come see the place where he lay.

He gave his life on Calvary
And died upon the cross,
As the cry of death resounded
Some people were at a loss.

The disciples looked with sorrow,
Others looked with glee,
The man some loved some hated,
Was now dead upon the tree.

Friends came and took His body,
Gently laid it in a tomb,
The crowd walked off, not caring,
In their hearts they had no room.

But the dark grave could not hold him,
"In three days I'll rise" He said,
And on that glorious Easter morning,
He had risen from the dead !
